Dr. Tamara Kuittinen FAAEM FACEP is an emergency medicine physician on the staff of Danbury Hospital. Prior to her current position, Dr. Kuittinen was a member of the faculty at Lenox Hill Hospital and Mount Sinai School of Medicine as an assistant professor and became the director of the Urgent Care; and Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center as an Instructor, where she was actively involved in resident, student and patient education.

 

She has a special interest in educating the lay public on controversial medical studies with the goal of helping people process complex and sometimes contradictory information.

Dr. Kuittinen was featured in the ABC documentary series “Hopkins 24/7.”  She has recently been a medical contributor to FOX News Channel, MSNBC, CNN, and NBC.
