Ridgefield Republican Registrar of Voters

Wayne Floegel was elected Ridgefield’s Republican Registrar of Voters in 2018.

Wayne has a background in public service prior to relocating to Ridgefield.  Wayne served on the non-partisan Naperville Illinois Transportation Advisory Committee where he tirelessly advocated for transportation improvements and maintenance, especially for commuters.  Wayne was appointed to the DuPage Regional School Board of Trustees in 2015 where he worked across the county to ensure optimization of school districts, and supported the eventual elimination of the Board to eliminate bureaucracy and streamline use of taxpayer dollars.

Wayne is an experienced paraprofessional special education professional, serving 6 years in Naperville, Illinois’s award-winning District 203 and for 2.5 years within the Ridgefield Public Schools.    Wayne served on the Scotland Elementary PTA as the Special Services Representative.   Currently he serves in the same capacity with the Scotts Ridge Middle School PTA.  In the fall of 2019 he will begin the tireless work as the VP of Special Services Representative for the PTA Council. Demonstrating his continued advocacy for students of all abilities.

Wayne is an active member of the Ridgefield Republican Town Committee, the Danbury Elks Lodge.  Wayne is the proud father of two and the perfect husband to his loving wife Elizabeth.
